LMRA Launches Over 1,100 Inspection Campaigns, Leading to Detentions and Deportations

Manama: The Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA) has reported the execution of 1,112 inspection campaigns and visits between August 10 and 16, 2025. These operations led to the detention of six workers for violations while 103 individuals were deported.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the campaigns and visits uncovered various infractions related to several regulatory laws, notably those under the Labour Market Regulatory Authority and the Residency Laws in the Kingdom of Bahrain. Legal actions have been initiated against these breaches.

The LMRA highlighted that 1,100 inspection visits targeted numerous shops across all governorates. Additionally, 12 joint inspection campaigns were conducted, including three in the Muharraq Governorate, six in the Northern Governorate, and three in the Southern Governorate.

Collaborating entities in these operations included the Ministry of Interior, represented by the Nationality, Passports and Residence Affairs (NPRA), the respective Police Directorates of the governorates, and the Social Insurance Organization.

The authority stressed the ongoing collaboration with government bodies to enhance inspection efforts across the Kingdom's governorates, aiming to eliminate violations that destabilize the labour market or threaten the Kingdom's economic and social security.

The LMRA has reiterated its appeal to the public for support in combating illegal labour practices. Violations can be reported through the electronic form on the authority's website, via their call centre at 17506055, or through the government's Suggestions and Complaints System (Tawasul).
