LMRA Launches 1,110 Inspection Campaigns Across Bahrain

Manama: The Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA) announced the execution of 1,110 inspection campaigns and visits from 4 to 10 May 2025. These efforts resulted in the detention of 25 irregular workers and the deportation of 112 violators.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the inspection campaigns identified several violations concerning the Labour Market Regulatory Authority and Residency Laws in the Kingdom of Bahrain. Legal actions were initiated against these violations.

The LMRA conducted 1,097 inspection visits to various shops across all governorates, complemented by 13 joint inspection campaigns. The campaigns included eight in the Capital Governorate, one in Muharraq Governorate, one in the Northern Governorate, and three in the Southern Governorate.

Government entities participating in the campaigns included the Ministry of Interior, represented by the Nationality, Passports and Residence Affairs (NPRA), respective Police Directorates of the Governorates, the Coast Guard Headquarters, the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, and the Ministry of Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture.

The LMRA emphasized ongoing collaboration with government agencies to intensify inspection efforts throughout the Kingdom. The aim is to address violations that may affect the labour market's stability and competitiveness or threaten economic and social security.

The LMRA encouraged public support for government efforts to combat illegal labour practices.
