LMRA Conducts 1,900 Inspection Campaigns and Visits, Resulting in Deportations

Manama: The Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA) announced the execution of 1,900 inspection campaigns and visits between 9 to 15 November 2025, which led to the detention of 16 irregular workers and the deportation of 58 violators.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the inspections uncovered multiple violations related to the Labour Market Regulatory Authority and Residency Laws in the Kingdom of Bahrain. Legal measures were taken in response to these infractions.

The LMRA detailed that 1,872 inspections were conducted across various shops in all governorates, alongside 28 joint inspection campaigns. These included 15 campaigns in the Capital Governorate, 6 in the Muharraq Governorate, 2 in the Northern Governorate, and 5 in the Southern Governorate.

The campaigns involved several government entities, including the Ministry of Interior, represented by the Nationality, Passports and Residence Affairs (NPRA), the Governorate's Police Directorate, the General Directorate of Verdict Enforcement and Alternative Sentencing, the General Directorate of Crime Detection and Forensic Science, the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibition Authority, and the Social Insurance Organization.

The Authority emphasized ongoing cooperation with government agencies to ramp up inspection efforts across the Kingdom. The aim is to address violations that could undermine the labour market's stability, competitiveness, or jeopardize Bahrain's economic and social security.

The LMRA urged the public to support government efforts against illegal labour practices by reporting violations through the electronic form on the authority's website at www.lmra.gov.bh, contacting the call centre at 17506055, or using the government's Suggestions and Complaints System (Tawasul).
