Manama: Nebras Talib, CEO of the Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA) and Chairman of the National Committee for Combatting Trafficking in Persons, met with Othman Belbeisi, Regional Director of the International Organisation for Migration (IOM) for the Middle East and North Africa.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the meeting focused on LMRA's efforts to ensure a safe work environment and combat human trafficking. Discussions included reviewing cooperation in training, labour affairs, and worker protection.
The CEO praised IOM's support for the Regional Centre of Excellence and Capacity Building for Combatting Trafficking in Persons. He emphasized the importance of IOM's training programmes for frontline workers and the need for continued collaboration.
