Manama: Yousif bin Abdulhussain Khalaf, Minister of Legal Affairs and Acting Minister of Labour, engaged in a meeting with Ali Ahmed Al Derazi, Chairman of the National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR). The discussion centered on the role of the NIHR in promoting human rights within the Kingdom.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the Minister highlighted Bahrain's comprehensive framework for human rights and labour protection. He reviewed the advanced labour laws and legislation that are currently implemented in the Kingdom. These laws aim to ensure that the rights of workers are safeguarded and that a safe working environment is maintained.
Al Derazi acknowledged the Ministry of Labour's efforts in upholding human rights principles and safeguarding workers. He emphasized the importance of ensuring a secure working environment, which includes strengthening oversight of worker accommodation provided by employers.
