Legal Affairs Minister, Acting Labour Minister Highlights Royal Support for Enhancing Employment and Workforce Participation

Manama: Yousif bin Abdulhussain Khalaf, Minister of Legal Affairs and Acting Minister of Labour, emphasised that Bahrain continues to invest in its human capital by enhancing workforce skills and expanding citizen participation in the labour market, supporting a competitive and sustainable national economy in line with the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

According to Bahrain News Agency, Minister Khalaf commended His Majesty's speech at the inauguration of the fourth session of the sixth legislative term of the Council of Representatives and Shura Council, highlighting HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister's initiative to provide job seekers with expanded employment opportunities and essential support to facilitate their participation in nation-building.

The Minister noted that, following HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister's directives, the Ministry of Labour offers three job opportunities to each registered job seeker. To date, 7,888 interviews have been conducted to match candidates with suitable positions, with extended working hours until 7 pm to expedite the initiative, he added.

Minister Khalaf highlighted that the Ministry's teams continue their efforts, guided by the Team Bahrain commitment, to implement the directives of the leadership and fulfill citizens' aspirations for stable employment and active participation in the labour market.

The Minister also commended the constructive coordination with the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) and private sector institutions, emphasising that this collaboration is important for providing job opportunities through the Ministry's electronic employment fair, promoting national workforce development, and contributing to sustainable economic growth.
