Lebanese President Engages in Economic Discussions During Bahrain Visit

Manama: During an official visit to the Kingdom of Bahrain, His Excellency General Joseph Aoun, President of the Republic of Lebanon, and his delegation visited the Bahrain Economic Development Board (Bahrain EDB) in Bahrain Bay. The visit was at the invitation of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.

According to Bahrain News Agency, HE President Aoun was received by Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Minister of Finance and National Economy, and Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Minister of Foreign Affairs. Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa discussed the significance of President Aoun's visit, emphasizing the opportunity to understand Bahrain's efforts in diversifying its economy and strengthening investment infrastructure, guided by the leadership of His Majesty the King and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister. He also outlined the strategic and executive plans by Bahrain EDB aimed at supporting national objectives.

President Aoun received a briefing on the Kingdom's government operations and its economic achievements, particularly in growth and diversification. The discussions also covered Bahrain's investment opportunities and its strategic advantages as a regional market gateway.

Noor bint Ali Alkhulaif, Minister of Sustainable Development and Chief Executive of Bahrain EDB, elaborated on the EDB's pivotal role as a central contact point for investors. She highlighted the board's efforts in promoting Bahrain through strategic marketing and global events, aiding investors in company setup and expansion, and leveraging Bahrain's competitive benefits for local and international investments.
