Lebanese President Commends Bahrain’s Support for Lebanon

Manama: His Excellency General Joseph Aoun, President of the Lebanese Republic, commended Bahrain's support for Lebanon's security, unity, and stability during a meeting with editors-in-chief of local newspapers, held as part of his official visit to the Kingdom of Bahrain.

According to Bahrain News Agency, HE the President praised the honourable positions of the Kingdom of Bahrain, under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. He highlighted Bahrain's commitment to supporting its Arab partners and its initiatives aimed at strengthening joint Arab action and preserving Arab unity.

HE the President expressed his appreciation to HM the King for the generous hospitality, recognizing His Majesty's role in reinforcing regional security and stability, as well as efforts to bridge views and promote joint Arab cooperation. He noted the sincere sentiments that HM the King and the people of Bahrain hold toward Lebanon and its people, which reflect the strength and depth of relations between the two countries.

President Aoun affirmed the Lebanese people's deep appreciation for Bahrain and its people, recalling the Kingdom's supportive stances during times of crises. He wished Bahrain continued advancement and prosperity under HM the King's leadership.

HE the President also highlighted the growth of Bahrain-Lebanon relations, reflecting strong cooperation and joint coordination on various matters. He addressed current regional developments, focusing on Lebanon's situation and shared aims with Bahrain in promoting peace and tolerance.

President Aoun congratulated Bahrain on its election as a non-permanent member of the United Nations Security Council, expressing confidence in Bahrain's contribution to enhancing international peace and security and serving as an Arab voice in international forums.
