Manama, The chairman and judges of the High Elections Committee congratulated His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, on the success of the two-round 2022 Parliamentary and Municipal Elections.
The committee stressed its keenness on enabling citizens to exercise their constitutional rights and cast their ballots in the polls which are marked by transparency and integrity to elect their parliamentary and municipal representatives for the coming four years.
It saluted the record voter turnout which reflected strong resolve to participate actively in the reform project through the constitutional institutions, for a better present and future for the nation.
The committee said the high voter turnout in this new electoral chapter builds on landmark achievements in light of royal care, noting women and youth’s participation in the polls.
It expressed thanks and gratitude to all parties which contribute to the success of the elections, citing the Ministry of Interior, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture, the Ministry of Information Affairs and other competent authorities.
The committee also extended thanks to the elections executive management and all committees and volunteers for their efforts in organizing the elections.
