Manama: His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Salman bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Labour, attended the opening of the Conference on Social Justice and Democracy in the World of Work, organised by the General Federation of Workers Trade Unions in Bahrain. The event, held from November 19-21, brings together labour experts, union representatives, and stakeholders from Bahrain and abroad. According to Bahrain News Agency, the conference aims to promote social justice principles for workers and share successful practices in securing labour rights. Over the course of three days, sessions will focus on GCC efforts to enhance social protections, including for domestic workers, improving workplace safety and health standards, and advancing labour laws to safeguard workers from occupational injuries and illnesses.
