Manama: In line with the continuous directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, the Ministry of Labour announced the launch of the "Freelancers Support Initiative" in partnership with the Labour Fund "Tamkeen". The initiative aims to support job seekers who wish to take up freelancing as a professional career path by encouraging them to engage in flexible and independent work models.

According to Bahrain News Agency, Yousif bin Abdulhussain Khalaf, Minister of Legal Affairs and Acting Minister of Labour, stated that Bahrainis registered as job seekers with the Ministry of Labour who have up to 12 months of experience will receive support to obtain a virtual commercial registration, "Sijili", with compensation for the registration fees. They will also receive monthly incentives of BHD 200 for 12 months, in addition to support for the Social Insurance contributions for 12 months, to help them launch and grow their freelance businesses.
