Kuwait City: His Highness Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al Ahmad Al Sabah, Prime Minister of Kuwait, met with Hassan Al Khatib, Egyptian Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade, and his accompanying delegation.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the meeting reviewed bilateral relations and means to enhance trade and industrial cooperation to serve the interests of both countries and their peoples.
In a separate meeting, Khalifa Al Ajeel, Kuwaiti Minister of Commerce and Industry, discussed with Al Khatib means to develop trade and investment cooperation between both countries. Both sides addressed topics on the agenda of the joint committee, which aims to advance economic cooperation, overcome investment challenges, and increase trade between Kuwait and Egypt.
Meanwhile, the first session of the Kuwaiti-Egyptian Joint Ministerial Trade Committee began in Kuwait. The committee seeks to expand trade exchange, address regional developments and challenges, and explore shared interests in trade, industry, economy, food, and agriculture. It also aims to encourage continued participation in exhibitions to promote national products in both countries.
The meeting will also discuss means to develop industrial exports, enhance standards and specifications, and exchange commercial and investment opportunities between the chambers of commerce in both countries. The ministerial trade committee is set to convene tomorrow, Monday, to discuss trade and investment cooperation, opportunities to enhance economic partnerships, and coordination on joint exhibitions and economic events. The session will conclude with the signing of the first meeting's final report, which will include the agreed recommendations and outcomes.
