King Hamad Global Centre for Peaceful Coexistence Chairman highlights Bahrain’s role in promoting cultural coexistence

Dr. Shaikh Abdullah bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the King Hamad Global Centre for Peaceful Coexistence, attended the 33rd Bahrain International Music Festival, featuring a performance by 'Les Petits Chanteurs à la Croix de Bois' (The Little Singers of the Wooden Cross) at the Cultural Hall. The event, a collaboration between the King Hamad Centre, the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities (BACA), and the French Embassy, was attended by officials, diplomats, cultural figures, and the public. Dr. Shaikh Abdullah bin Ahmed underscored Bahrain's vibrant cultural and artistic landscape, highlighting its role in promoting tolerance and peaceful coexistence, in line with the vision of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. Dr. Shaikh Abdullah expressed pride in hosting the event on United Nations Day with an audience from various nationalities, reflecting a shared recognition of culture and arts as means to foster diplomatic cooperation and mutual respect. He noted that t he Centre, following the humanitarian vision of His Majesty and the direction of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, is committed to cultural and academic initiatives, promoting Bahrain's message of openness worldwide. Dr. Shaikh Abdullah thanked BACA and the supporting embassies, recognising the festival as a symbol of unity and peace. Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, President of the BACA, commended the 33rd festival's rich cultural programme, aligning with His Majesty's vision of culture as a bridge for peaceful coexistence. He thanked the King Hamad Centre, the French Embassy, and the embassies of Italy, Germany, China, and South Korea for their contributions, noting their collective role in positioning Bahrain as a global hub for cultural and artistic exchange.
