KHGC Joins Sacred Heart Church’s 85th Anniversary Celebration


Manama: Muneera Nofal Al Doseri, Executive Director of the King Hamad Global Center for Coexistence and Tolerance, participated in the 85th-anniversary celebration of the Sacred Heart Church in Manama. The event was attended by church leaders and a diverse array of religious, cultural, diplomatic, and community figures representing various faiths and cultures from the Kingdom of Bahrain.



According to Bahrain News Agency, the Executive Director expressed pride in the Center’s involvement in the celebration, highlighting Bahrain’s history of religious and cultural pluralism. She emphasized Bahrain’s role in promoting tolerance, coexistence, and civilizational dialogue under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the guidance of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.



Al Doseri reiterated the Center’s dedication to collaborating with religious institutions through educational and training initiatives that foster understanding among different religions and cultures. She also noted the Center’s efforts with local and international partners to showcase Bahrain’s model of coexistence and respect for diversity on a global stage.



She conveyed congratulations and appreciation to Archbishop Eugene Martin Nugent, Bishop Aldo Berardi, Father Francis Joseph, and the church leadership on the church’s 85th anniversary. Al Doseri praised the Catholic Church’s role in community service, volunteerism, societal harmony, and the promotion of human fraternity.



Bishop Aldo Berardi expressed gratitude to Bahrain for exemplifying respect for religious freedom and fostering understanding among societal components. He praised the King Hamad Global Center for Coexistence and Tolerance for its initiatives in promoting peace, compassion, and shared living among diverse faiths and cultures.
