Government Hospitals and Bahrain Trust Foundation Launch Mini-School at Psychiatric Hospital

Manama: Government Hospitals, in cooperation with the Bahrain Trust Foundation, have opened a new mini-school at the Psychiatric Hospital, marking the establishment of the sixth facility of its kind in Bahrain. The initiative is designed to enhance support for children’s mental health by creating an educational setting within the hospital that complements therapeutic care.

According to Bahrain News Agency, Dr. Mariam Al Jalahma, Chief Executive of Government Hospitals, stated that the school represents a significant advancement in enhancing services for children dealing with psychological and behavioral challenges. It offers tailored programs that help children develop coping skills and maintain social and educational progress during their treatment.

Dr. Fatima Al Blooshi, Chairwoman of Bahrain Trust Foundation, noted that over 10,500 children have benefited from the Foundation’s hospital schools to date. She emphasized the effectiveness of the Foundation’s activity-based learning model in supporting the cognitive and social development of children.

The mini-schools project aims to ensure that young patients receive appropriate educational support to aid their wellbeing and facilitate smooth reintegration into daily life.
