New York: The United Nations General Assembly has designated January 28 as the International Day for Peaceful Coexistence, following an initiative led by the King Hamad Global Centre for Peaceful Coexistence (KHGC). This initiative underscores the importance of fostering harmony among nations, cultures, religions, and races.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Franceso Capp¨, CEO of Gioya Higher Education Institution, expressed pride in collaborating with the KHGC and the UN University for Peace. "The International Day for Peaceful Coexistence is more than a celebration, it is a call to action. It offers the opportunity to strengthen our shared commitment, equip individuals with the best skills, and amplify our impact for a world that rejects violent shortcuts and instead places human dignity at the centre of every decision."
Capp¨ emphasised that the KHGC continues to lead efforts in promoting peace through various initiatives and educational programmes. This international recognition reinforces the Kingdom of Bahrain's role as a global advocate for peace and mutual understanding.
