Khalid bin Hamad Showjumping Championship Concludes Under Royal Patronage

Raffa: Under the patronage of Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Khalid bin Hamad One Star International Showjumping Championship concluded successfully at the Military Sports Association's Field. Shaikh Khalid, who holds significant positions including First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, oversaw the event organized by the Bahrain Royal Equestrian and Endurance Federation (BREEF).

According to Bahrain News Agency, the championship witnessed the presence of notable figures such as His Highness Shaikh Faisal bin Khalid Al Khalifa, His Highness Shaikh Abdullah bin Khalid Al Khalifa, and His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, President of BREEF. Shaikh Khalid highlighted Bahrain's progress in equestrian sports and reaffirmed the Kingdom's dedication to maintaining its leadership in these disciplines. He stressed the importance of nurturing the sport of showjumping, which enjoys widespread popularity among stables and riders in Bahrain.

Shaikh Khalid instructed the federation to continue its efforts in advancing equestrian sports, with a particular focus on showjumping, to achieve further growth. He acknowledged the contributions of the federation, led by Shaikh Isa bin Abdullah and Shaikh Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, Chairman of the Showjumping Committee, commending their roles in the championship's success.

The event also saw Shaikh Khalid congratulating the winners, with awards presented by Shaikh Faisal bin Khalid and Shaikh Abdullah bin Khalid for the 140 cm jumps competition. Ministry of Interior rider Hussain Mohammed Dadullah secured first place, followed by Maiouf Abdulaziz Al Rumaihi and Ali Isa. Italian rider Gianni Govoni and local competitors Mahmoud Abdulqader and Ahmed Mansour were also recognized.

In the first 120 cm jumps competition, Huda Janahi awarded the winners. Sultan Abdulaziz Al Rumaihi took first place, with Maiouf Abdulaziz Al Rumaihi and Badr Mohammed Janahi finishing in second and third respectively. The second 130 cm jumps competition saw Dadullah once again in first place, with Sultan Abdulaziz Al Rumaihi and Mohammed Saif Mohammed rounding out the top three.
