Raffa: Hasan Al Sadadi, the Bahraini rally driver, achieved a new milestone in motorsport by successfully completing the Dakar Rally, one of the most famous and challenging off-road races in the world. The Dakar Rally 2025 concluded recently in Saudi Arabia after 12 stages of diverse desert terrain and a distance of over 8,000 kilometres.
According to Bahrain News Agency, after successfully reaching the finish line, Al Sadadi expressed his gratitude to His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, and all those who supported him during his participation in this year's Dakar Rally. Al Sadadi also extended his appreciation to Bahrain International Circuit, Beyon Group, and Bell Helmets, noting that their support played a significant role in this success.
He ranked 83rd in his category for the 12th and final stage and finished 107th in the overall classification. His total rally time was 123 hours, six minutes, and three seconds. This was his best stage ranking in the rally, while his highest overall position was 98th after stage 10.
Al Sadadi's participation aligns with Bahrain's efforts to enhance its presence in international sporting events, emphasising its commitment to supporting Bahraini athletes and enhancing their competitiveness at the highest levels. The Dakar Rally 2025 is part of the World Rally-Raid Championship, sanctioned by the International Automobile Federation (FIA) and the International Motorcycling Federation (FIM). It was the first of five rounds of the season.
The Dakar Rally was first held in 1979 and has become a major international event, attracting top rally drivers worldwide. Participants compete in various categories, including cars, bikes, trucks, M1000s, and classic vehicles.
