Khalid bin Hamad: Greatly proud to see our Royal Guard champions conquer Mount Everest

HH Major Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports (SCYS), President of the General Authority for Sports (GAS), President of Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC), has extended sincere congratulations to HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the Supreme Commander, HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, and HH Major General Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the National Security Advisor and Royal Guard Commander, on the honourable achievement made by the Royal Guard’s men who conquered Mount Everest.

“This honourable achievement wouldn’t have been possible without the support and interest of HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa for the Royal Guard to raise the Kingdom’s flag high on top of the world’s highest summit,” HH Major Shaikh Khalid said, valuing the exceptional efforts exerted by HH Major General Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa towards encouraging, following-up and supporting the Royal Guard team to convert the dream of climbing up Mount Everest into a reality, adding a unique achievement under the name of Bahrain.

He further added: “The Royal Guard’s champions have proved the great will and ability of the Bahraini youth to lead and create extraordinary achievements that bolster Bahrain’s position in various fields globally.”

Finally, HH Major Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa paid tribute for the efforts made by the Royal Guard’s men to reach the top of Mount Everest, highlighting their unbreakable desire to overcome all challenges and obstacles to make history.
