The Karkh Misdemeanor Court issued a prison sentence of six months and ten days against each of the women who assaulted the traffic officer.
The media center of the Supreme Judicial Council said in a statement that “the verdict was issued after confirming their statements and confessing to assaulting a traffic police officer while performing his duty.
It added, “The ruling against them comes based on the provisions of Article 38/Second of Traffic Law No. 8 of 2019.”
