Manama: Nawaf bin Mohammed Al Maawda, Minister of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Waqf, received Hisham Ahmed Al Rayes, Chief Executive Officer and Board Member of GFH Bank. The meeting was attended by officials from the Ministry, members of the Zakat Fund Board of Directors, and the bank's Board of Directors.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the minister expressed his appreciation to GFH Bank for its support in advancing corporate social responsibility, particularly through contributions to projects implemented by the Zakat and Sadaqah Fund. He acknowledged the bank's role in promoting charitable work and serving the community, emphasizing the importance of public-private partnerships.
The minister highlighted that the collaboration between the Zakat Fund and the private sector is pivotal in supporting community initiatives and advancing sustainable development goals. This partnership also strengthens social solidarity, which is essential for societal progress.
