(BNA): Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments Minister Shaikh Khalid bin Ali Al Khalifa congratulated His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa on the new Hijri Year.
He also extended congratulations to His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, wishing the Kingdom of Bahrain and its loyal people, as well the Arab and Islamic nations many happy returns.
He hailed HM the King’s directives to issue of the Bahraini calendar for the Hijri year 1443 AH in accordance with the Sharia, scientific and astronomical standards.
He praised the efforts of the Committee for the Bahraini Calendar which includes several religious scholars, astronomers, and specialists from the Kingdom of Bahrain, who followed in the steps of early scholars in determining the times of prayers.
He announced that the “Islamiyat Application” would be available on smart devices in coordination with the Information and Electronic Government Authority (iGA).
He urged the public to benefit from the new service, which comes in line with digital transformation by rationalising paper consumption and enhancing reliance on electronic content.
