Manama: Nawaf bin Mohammed Al Maawda, Minister of Justice, Islamic Affairs, and Endowments, received Dr. Ahmed Abdulhameed Al Shaikh, Chief Executive Officer of the Bahrain Institute of Banking and Finance (BIBF). During their meeting, the Minister emphasized the ongoing partnership between the Ministry and BIBF, which is focused on designing specialized training programs for judges and legal professionals.
According to Bahrain News Agency, these training programs are crafted to cover critical areas such as banking services, Islamic finance, insurance, and digital transformation. The collaboration extends to working with the Institute of Judicial and Legal Studies to ensure the programs meet the current demands of the legal sector.
The discussions during the meeting also explored the possibility of expanding this partnership to incorporate training needs through the creation of advanced professional content. The aim is to enhance the skills of legal professionals in essential subjects that are increasingly relevant.
The Minister highlighted the growing importance of specialized training in emerging fields, including cybercrimes, the legal implications of artificial intelligence, data protection and privacy laws, and intellectual property in the digital age. These areas are considered emerging priorities that require focused attention and understanding in today's rapidly evolving legal landscape.
