Amman: Jordan's Ministry of Water and Irrigation - Jordan Valley Authority announced that Tannur Dam and Shidham Dam in Tafilah Governorate, Fidan Dam in Wadi Araba, and Wahidi Dam in Ma'an have begun overflowing after reaching 100% of their storage capacity.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the authority urged citizens, farmers, livestock breeders, and residents living near flood channels and valleys to take the necessary precautions and exercise caution. It also called for coordination with municipalities and relevant authorities and warned against approaching valley streams.
The authority urged the public to follow the Ministry of Water and Irrigation - Jordan Valley Authority platforms for regular updates on dam conditions and the possibility of further overflows as unstable weather conditions persist across the Kingdom.
