Amman: Dr. Jafar Hassan, Prime Minister of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, affirmed that Jordan is facing a regional war with global repercussions, underscoring the Kingdom's firm stance from the outset in rejecting being a battleground or a launchpad for attacks against any party.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the Prime Minister stated during a Cabinet session held today that Jordan remains strong under its Hashemite leadership, its Arab Army, and security agencies, noting that the armed forces and security services continue to carry out their duties in safeguarding the Kingdom's airspace, territory, and sovereignty, having intercepted hundreds of drones and missiles targeting the country.
The Jordanian Prime Minister added that Jordan's efforts, led by His Majesty King Abdullah II ibn Al Hussein of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, continue to emphasize the importance of diplomatic solutions and achieving comprehensive de-escalation to ensure the security of Arab states affected by attacks, as key to regional and global stability. He warned that the continuation of the war would come at the expense of the region unless addressed through unified Arab action.
The Prime Minister stressed that the primary challenge lies in emerging stronger from the crisis by enhancing Jordan's strategic, security, and economic resilience, in cooperation and solidarity with Arab states.
