Amman: Ayman Safadi, Minister of Foreign and Expatriates Affairs, met with Marco Rubio, Secretary of State of the United States of America. The meeting discussed the strategic partnership between their nations and pressing regional issues and underscored the importance of the relations between Jordan and the US, committing to their further development across all sectors.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the two sides discussed efforts to reach a ceasefire in Gaza and to facilitate the entry of humanitarian aid into the Strip. They also reviewed efforts to de-escalate tensions in the West Bank, as well as the situation in Syria.
The ministers agreed to maintain continuous coordination and communication in their efforts to enhance bilateral cooperation, resolve regional crises, and solidify security and stability.
