Jordanian Army Forces Intercepts Eight Iranian Missiles

Amman: A military official at the General Command of the Jordanian Armed Forces - Arab Army confirmed that its air defence systems intercepted and shot down eight Iranian missiles targeting the Kingdom's territory early Thursday morning.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the military source emphasised that the interceptions were carried out in accordance with established defensive and operational protocols to safeguard the Kingdom's sovereignty, secure its airspace, and protect its citizens.

The incidents resulted in no casualties or physical damage. Teams from the Royal Military Engineering Corps have since secured and cleared missile debris found at several sites.

The source stressed that the Armed Forces remain on high alert, monitoring the airspace and prepared to neutralise any threats in line with standard rules of engagement. Citizens are urged to rely strictly on official channels for updates and avoid spreading unverified rumours.
