Manama: Yarub Qudah, Minister of Industry, Trade and Supply of Jordan, alongside Khaled Najm, Minister of Industry and Minerals of Iraq, engaged in discussions aimed at enhancing cooperation across various sectors, with a particular emphasis on the industrial sector. The talks were held on the sidelines of the Arab Economic and Social Council meetings.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Qudah underscored the importance of accelerating efforts to boost bilateral trade and tackle existing challenges. He highlighted the necessity of encouraging private sector initiatives in both nations to establish joint investment projects, effectively utilizing the available opportunities in Jordan and Iraq.
During the meeting, the ministers also reviewed the progress of the joint economic city project. They stressed the significance of attracting a developer to accelerate its implementation and ensure its timely development, which is crucial for enhancing economic ties and fostering mutual growth between the two countries.
