Amman: The Jordan Armed Forces (JAF) announced that 22 missiles were launched from Iran towards Jordanian territory during the fourth week of the ongoing regional conflict.
According to Bahrain News Agency, in a joint statement with the Public Security Directorate, the Military Media Directorate stated that the Royal Jordanian Air Force intercepted and destroyed the missiles with high efficiency, while two missiles were not intercepted and fell in the eastern part of the country.
The statement noted that Jordan has been directly targeted by Iranian attacks since the start of the conflict, with a total of 262 missiles and drones launched towards the Kingdom, targeting vital sites. It added that the Royal Jordanian Air Force has intercepted and destroyed 242 missiles and drones, while 20 were not intercepted.
The JAF reiterated its commitment to carrying out its duties to safeguard national security, protect citizens, and secure the Kingdom's borders against any threats or violations.
The Public Security Directorate reported that 64 incidents involving falling objects and debris from missiles and drones were handled during the past week across various governorates.
It added that one personnel member handling falling objects sustained moderate injuries during the fourth week of the conflict and is receiving treatment, while material damage was reported in several areas.
The total number of falling objects and debris since the start of the conflict reached 478, with 25 injuries recorded, all of whom have been discharged except for the most recent case. Material damage included 25 vehicles, 55 homes and shops, and 14 public properties.
