Manama: Yusuf bin Saleh Al Saleh, Chairman of the Jaafari Endowments Directorate, chaired the first meeting of the coordination team for the upcoming Ashoora commemoration. Al Saleh expressed his appreciation to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and to the government led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, for their support of the Ashoora commemoration and religious rituals. He also commended the efforts of all concerned authorities for providing the necessary support and facilitation.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the chairman emphasised the importance of ensuring the council's committees and departments are fully prepared to support Maatams, facilitate the timely disbursement of allocations in accordance with approved procedures, and handle Ashoora commemoration-related requests efficiently. He also noted the need to address any challenges arising with a sense of responsibility and cooperation.
The administration gave a detailed update on preparations, including plans for coordination meetings with ministries and relevant authorities, as well as arrangements for the annual meeting of Maatams and Hussaini Majlises heads across the Kingdom's governorates to ensure all seasonal needs are met.
The chairman called for continued coordination meetings, emphasising the need to support the Ashoora commemoration through joint efforts with official authorities and the management of Maatams and Hussaini Majlises across the Kingdom.
