Israeli army continues aggression in Gaza as homes are destroyed

The Israeli army continued on Saturday to destroy a number of residential buildings in various areas of Gaza Strip.

The raids targeted and destroyed several homes in the east, north and south of Gaza, adding Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in the center of the Gaza Strip.

Salameh Maarouf, the Head of the press office of the local authority in Gaza, said in a press conference that the massive damage caused by Israeli forces amounted to 15 residential buildings that were demolished, 51 housing units, while 940 housing units were damaged in which 49 units are unfit for habitation.

In addition, the initial losses amounted to about five million dollars.

The number of people killed as a result of the aggression on the Gaza Strip for the fifth day in a row has reached 33, 30 percent of them are women and children, she noted.

Meanwhile, the Palestinian Energy Authority, the only one in Gaza, warned that it would stop working within the next 48 hours due to continued closure of the crossings since the start of the aggression on Gaza last Tuesday and for the fifth day in a row.
