Israeli airstrikes on southern Lebanon kill 2, injure others, including paramedics

Two people were killed and several others were injured in two airstrikes carried out by Israeli warplanes on Tuesday evening on the southern Lebanese town of Dhaira. A Lebanese security source told the Jordan News Agency (Petra) correspondent in Beirut that the two airstrikes targeted a number of houses, while a search is underway for missing persons among the rubble. The Lebanese Ministry of Health announced in a statement that "four people, including three paramedics, were injured in the airstrike on Wadi Hamul," explaining that "the repeated targeting of health workers is a very serious violation of international laws and norms applicable in wartime, which emphasize the need to protect health workers, their centers, and their means of transportation."
