Israel seals off Gaza border crossing

The Israeli occupation authorities decided to halt sine die the movement of all kinds of goods through Karm Abu-Salem (Kerem Shalom) border crossing between southern Gaza Strip and Egypt.

The Israeli occupation army claims that the decision, effective as of tomorrow, Tuesday, aimed to thwart an attempt to smuggle explosives, according to a statement by the Palestinian Presidential Committee for Coordinating the Entry of Goods into the Strip.

Karm Abu-Salem, the only commercial crossing, serves as lifeline for more than two million Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, providing them with essential commodities and humanitarian assistance.
