IPA Director General Engages with GCC Leaders in Strategic Programme.

Manama: Dr. Shaikha Rana bint Isa bin Duaij Al Khalifa, Director General of the Institute of Public Administration (IPA), participated in the opening of the second in-person session of the 'Future of Work in Government for GCC Countries' programme. The event was a collaborative effort organized by the IPA in partnership with Oman's Royal Academy of Management, Oxford's Saïd Business School, and the GCC Secretariat General. It brought together 65 senior public sector leaders from across the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries. According to Bahrain News Agency, Dr. Shaikha Rana highlighted Bahrain's success in hosting the programme, attributing it to the Kingdom's strategic plans and the competence of its national workforce in achieving governmental goals, particularly in sustainability and human resource development. She underscored IPA's commitment to enhancing the capabilities of government leaders while fostering collaboration with GCC public administration institutes to apply global best practices. Dr. Shaikha Rana emphasized the importance of Gulf cooperation in addressing shared challenges and achieving strategic objectives. She reiterated IPA's vision to become a hub for leadership and administrative excellence, contributing significantly to both national and regional development. The programme focused on preparing leaders to navigate rapid institutional changes by adopting innovative strategies and sharing expertise. Key topics of the programme included public-private partnerships, digital transformation metrics, and the role of successful practices in fostering digital innovation. These discussions are aimed at equipping leaders with the necessary skills to drive forward-thinking initiatives and strengthen the public sector's presence in an increasingly digital world.
