IPA Director General Engages in Strategic Dialogue with UPEACE Permanent Observer.

Manama: Dr. Shaikha Rana bint Isa bin Duaij Al Khalifa, Director General of the Institute of Public Administration (IPA), recently convened with Ambassador Dr. David Fernández Puyana, the Permanent Observer of the United Nations University for Peace (UPEACE) to the United Nations Office at Geneva and UNESCO in Paris. The meeting emphasized the alignment of both entities in promoting peace and coexistence, core tenets of Bahraini society. According to Bahrain News Agency, Dr. Shaikha Rana highlighted Bahrain's commitment to tolerance, coexistence, and peace, reflecting the Kingdom's vision of fostering these values on national and international stages. She further emphasized IPA's dedication to cultivating collaborations with esteemed global institutions like UPEACE, with a focus on enhancing training, consultancy, research, and coaching programs. Dr. Shaikha Rana also pointed out the importance of embedding societal peace concepts within training initiatives. This approach is aimed at equipping national lea ders with the ability to make strategic decisions and formulate policies that contribute to comprehensive development. In response, Dr. Puyana praised Bahrain's ongoing efforts to promote peace both locally and globally. He expressed a keen interest in forming a strategic partnership with IPA, aiming to make peace an integral aspect of training programs and thereby supporting sustainable development goals.
