International and Interpol Affairs Directorate Receives Asian Suspect in Drug Case

Manama: The Ministry of Interior announced that the International and Interpol Affairs Directorate of the General Directorate of Anti-Corruption and Economic and Electronic Security, through cooperation with the Interior Ministry of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, had received an Asian suspect wanted in the Kingdom of Bahrain in a case involving the possession of narcotic substances and psychotropic substances with intent to traffic.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the Interior Ministry expressed its appreciation to the Saudi Interior Ministry for its cooperation and for arresting the wanted suspect after a temporary arrest request was issued through the Council of Arab Interior Ministers.

The Directorate said the wanted suspect was handed over by the concerned security mission, in accordance with the agreements and legislation governing international security cooperation.
