Interior Minister, General Shaikh Rashid Rashid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, today received the newly-appointed Israeli Ambassador to Bahrain, Eitan Na’eh.
Chief of Public Security, Lieutenant-General Tariq bin Hassan Al-Hassan, was present.
The Interior Minister welcomed the envoy and wished him every success in carrying out his diplomatic duties.
He stressed that His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s Reform Project is based on fostering the values of understanding, dialogue and openness to the other.
The two sides reviewed relations between the two countries, in light of their signing of the Declaration Supporting Peace and the Abraham Accords, which will contribute to strengthening security and stability, as well as promoting peace across the region.
They also discussed areas of bilateral security cooperation and exchange of expertise, in a way that would serve joint interests.
