Interior Minister General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa held today a meeting with the Public Security Chief, governors and security officials on the occasion of this year’s Ashura commemoration.
The minister extended deepest thanks and gratitude to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, hailing royal care which contributed to the success of this year’s ritual.
He commended the support of the Government, chaired by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, as well as follow-up on the needs of all areas.
Gen. Shaikh Rashid conveyed greetings from HM the King and HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, thanking the governors for their role, continuous communication and field world to overcome impediments.
He also commended the professional performance of officers, non-commissioned officers and servicemen, hailing the commitment and cooperation of heads of community centres and members of Husseinya processions, which reflected their awareness and national responsibility.
