Interior Minister Engages with West Riffa Citizens to Strengthen National Identity

Riffa: General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Minister of Interior and Chairman of the Ministerial Committee for the Follow-up on the National Plan to Promote the Spirit of Belonging to the Nation and Reinforce the Values of Nationalism (Bahrainouna), visited West Riffa to engage with citizens. He was accompanied by His Highness the Southern Governor and senior ministry officials.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the visit aimed to enhance community engagement and promote societal partnership principles. The Interior Minister conveyed greetings from His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, commending citizens for their commitment to Bahraini traditions and initiatives that strengthen national identity.

General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah highlighted the importance of Bahraini families and traditional majlis gatherings in preserving national heritage, cultural values, and customs. He emphasized the majlis as an enduring legacy of Bahrain's cultural fabric, serving as platforms nurturing future generations in respect, dialogue, and social cohesion.

The minister acknowledged the residents of Riffa for supporting public security and expressing loyalty and national unity. He stressed the significance of a strong societal foundation in facing challenges and safeguarding national solidarity. Reinforcing national identity, he noted, is a shared responsibility requiring the upholding of authentic values and customs.

General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah listened to citizens' pride in their heritage and commitment to preserving Bahrain's social fabric and civil peace. They expressed appreciation for the royal directives maintaining national traditions and conveyed loyalty to His Majesty the King.

The citizens thanked His Royal Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister for his support, visits, and the government's development initiatives, which have improved their quality of life and addressed community needs. They also appreciated the Ministry of Interior's security measures, which restored calm and order in residential areas by addressing violations and negative behaviours.

At the meeting's conclusion, Riffa citizens thanked the minister for his engagement, noting that his visit reflects a commitment to community outreach and the ministry's dedication to fostering community partnership as a pillar of public security.
