Manama: General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Minister of Interior, led a meeting with the governors, with the General Coordinator of the Governorates in attendance. The minister praised the governorates' role in maintaining open lines of communication with citizens and addressing issues impacting security and social cohesion.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the minister acknowledged the governorates' efforts in supporting youth through activities and programs that emphasize national traditions, values, and belonging while safeguarding national achievements. He stressed the importance of leveraging religious and social occasions to promote Islamic values and positive community practices.
General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah emphasized the importance of engaging with citizens and local Majalis, highlighting their role as integral parts of Bahrain's national and cultural heritage. He described them as forums that foster values and identity in younger generations. Additionally, he highlighted the governorates' role in enhancing security awareness, supporting projects utilizing modern technologies, and strengthening community partnership mechanisms to ensure the efficient delivery of services.
The meeting also focused on reviewing current issues and projects being implemented in the governorates.
