Kuwait city: Dr. Ramzan bin Abdulla Al Noaimi, Minister of Information, participated in the 22nd session of the Executive Office of the Council of Arab Information Ministers, held in the State of Kuwait. The session was chaired by Omar Saud Abdulaziz Al Omar, Minister of State for Communications and Information Technology and Acting Minister of Information and Culture of Kuwait. Attendees included Arab information ministers who are members of the Executive Office, and Ambassador Ahmed Rashid Khattabi, Assistant Secretary General and Head of the Media and Communication Sector at the Arab League.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Dr. Al Noaimi highlighted Bahrain's commitment to supporting joint Arab action under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister. He stressed the importance of enhancing coordination and integration among Arab states, especially in the media sector.
The Information Minister emphasized the need to build on the session's outcomes and implement practical measures to strengthen the Arab media system amidst rapid media landscape developments. He called for enhanced coordination among Arab media institutions, updating regulatory and legislative frameworks, and keeping pace with digital developments and artificial intelligence applications to bolster the Arab media's role regionally and internationally.
During the session, the Executive Office examined various agenda items related to shared interests and discussed mechanisms to advance media cooperation at professional and legislative levels. These discussions aimed at enhancing efficiency and coordination among member states.
Dr. Al Noaimi expressed his appreciation to the State of Kuwait for hosting and organizing the session. He also commended the General Secretariat of the Arab League, through its Media and Communication Sector, for their role in preparing and coordinating the session and supporting its outcomes.
