Manama: The second edition of the National Defence and Security Forum, titled 'Strategic Flexibility for Sustainable National Security', has concluded, drawing a wide range of leaders, officials, and experts specializing in the domains of security and defence.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the forum's second day featured a series of panel discussions focused on enhancing the sustainability of national security amid current challenges. These discussions aligned with the Kingdom of Bahrain's approved visions and strategies.
Shaikh Khalid bin Ali bin Jaber Al Khalifa, Deputy National Security Advisor and Deputy Secretary-General of the Supreme Defence Council, emphasized Bahrain's ongoing efforts to adopt modern security concepts. He noted that under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and Prime Minister, Bahrain aims to achieve strategic flexibility as a key pillar for sustaining national security. He highlighted the importance of being ready to address various regional and international developments and challenges.
Shaikh Khalid also expressed appreciation to Lieutenant General His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, National Security Advisor, Royal Guard Commander, and Secretary-General of the Supreme Defence Council, for his support and patronage of the forum. He praised the contributions of the speakers and participants, as well as the organizers' efforts in ensuring the forum's success and achieving its objectives. Shaikh Khalid expressed hope that the forum's outcomes would contribute to enhancing security integration and consolidating the concepts of comprehensive security.
