Information Minister and Russian Culture Minister Discuss Bilateral Cultural Cooperation

Manama: Dr. Ramzan bin Abdullah Al Noaimi, Minister of Information, met with Olga Lyubimova, Russian Minister of Culture, to discuss ways to develop bilateral cultural relations and projects aimed at further strengthening the ties between Bahrain and Russia.

According to Bahrain News Agency, Dr. Al Noaimi highlighted the historical relations between Russia and Bahrain, which have continued to evolve under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Excellency President Vladimir Putin of Russia. He stressed the importance of cultural cooperation in enhancing bilateral relations and expressed optimism about new opportunities to fortify joint initiatives and connections between the two nations.

Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, President of the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities (BACA), noted that the launch of the Russian cultural seasons in Bahrain is a testament to the joint efforts and mutual dedication of both countries. This initiative marks the 35th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations. He praised the active Russian cultural presence in Bahrain's local activities and wished success for the cultural seasons throughout the year.

Olga Lyubimova acknowledged Bahrain's cultural and civilisational advancements and affirmed Russia's dedication to enhancing cooperation in various fields, with a particular focus on culture. She expressed Russia's intent to implement additional joint programmes and cultural events, further bolstering the collaborative efforts between the two countries.
