Manama: The Ministry of Industry and Commerce has launched a series of initiatives aimed at supporting citizens and residents during the back-to-school season. The initiatives focus on ensuring the availability of quality products at fair prices.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the Consumer Protection Directorate has introduced the "Consumer's Friend" initiative, which encourages retailers to provide discounts on various school-related goods. These include essential items such as stationery, uniforms, electronics, furniture, and food. The initiative is set to run until November 2025.
The Ministry has also outlined a comprehensive inspection plan to oversee product quality, price fairness, and availability. This plan is designed to ensure families have access to a wide range of options during the back-to-school period. The Ministry aims to use this season as a chance to enhance public-private partnerships, recognizing the important roles that Bahraini families and retailers play in facilitating a smooth and promising start to the school year for students.
