Manama: The Ministry of Industry and Commerce launched the third edition of the "Digital Business Champions Overseas Programme for Companies and Factories," in cooperation with Export Bahrain and Bahrain Institute of Banking and Finance (BIBF), with participation from leading and mentoring companies.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the initiative supports the Ministry's efforts to develop the digital trade sector and boost its role in the digital economy. The programme aims to enhance exports through digital trade, prepare companies and factories to adopt digital practices, and promote digital transformation.
Maram Mukhtar Al Mahmeed, Director of the Information Systems Directorate, noted that the first two editions attracted over 170 participants from more than 96 entities. The new edition will include factories, reflecting the sector's importance to economic growth, and will feature a specialised export mentoring session by Export Bahrain.
The programme will also offer expert-led mentoring sessions on digital trade and exporting, including best practices, challenges, online store development, marketing, logistics, policies, and intellectual property protection.
