Industry Ministry Initiates Final Review of Anti-Dumping Duties on Ceramic Imports from China and India

Manama: The Ministry of Industry and Commerce has initiated a final review investigation by the Technical Secretariat Office for Anti-Injurious Practices in International Trade of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) concerning the anti-dumping duties on ceramic tile and slab imports into GCC member states, including Bahrain.

According to Bahrain News Agency, this investigation pertains to ceramic tiles and slabs used for flooring, wall cladding, or fireplaces, including mounted tiles and finishing ceramics such as ceramic and porcelain tiles. These products are classified under Harmonised System Code (69073000) of the GCC Common Customs Tariff, and are produced or exported from China and India.

The investigation is being conducted under Law (48) of 2011, which approves the Amended GCC Common Law on Antidumping, Countervailing Measures, and Safeguards Measures along with its Executive Regulations. The ministry has invited all manufacturers and importers in Bahrain dealing with the specified products to register as interested parties. They are required to fill out the relevant forms and submit them via email to [email protected] within 40 days from receiving the forms.
