Manama: The Ministry of Industry and Commerce organised a ceremony honouring the fourth cohort of the "Consumer Protection Ambassadors" initiative, implemented by the Consumer Protection Directorate in coordination with the Ministry of Youth Affairs. The initiative aims to empower Bahraini youth and strengthen their role in promoting consumer awareness and responsible commercial practices in society.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Abdulla bin Adel Fakhro, Minister of Industry and Commerce, commended the active participation of Bahraini youth in the initiative, highlighting their awareness and commitment to protecting consumer rights. He noted that the programme helps participants develop valuable knowledge and skills, enabling them to contribute to building a more aware and sustainable society.
Minister Fakhro also commended the support of sponsoring companies, noting that their partnership reflects the private sector's commitment to empowering Bahraini youth, supporting community development, and enhancing the competitiveness of the Bahraini market.
Rawan bint Najeeb Tawfeeqi, Minister of Youth Affairs, described the initiative as a leading national model for youth empowerment and community engagement. She emphasised its role in enhancing social responsibility, conscious consumption awareness, and communication skills among young Bahrainis.
The initiative includes training programmes, practical activities, and field visits aimed at promoting safe and fair consumption practices and supporting a more transparent and sustainable commercial environment in Bahrain.
