Manama: The Ministry of Industry and Commerce, in collaboration with the Ministry of Youth Affairs and the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), held a ceremony to honor participants in a project aimed at empowering Bahrain's youth in the realm of intellectual property.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Eman Ahmed Al Doseri, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, highlighted that the project represents a strategic partnership designed to instill a culture of innovation and creativity among youth. It aims to equip them with essential knowledge about intellectual property tools, enabling them to protect their ideas and transform them into tangible achievements.
Al Doseri further stated that the Ministry of Industry and Commerce is dedicated to fostering youth innovation by providing not only knowledge but also creating environments conducive to experimentation. The ministry is committed to connecting young innovators with experts and practitioners, thus allowing them to flourish in a supportive setting.
Marwan Fouad Kamal, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Youth Affairs, remarked that this initiative is a joint national effort that aligns with the Ministry of Youth Affairs' strategy to support youth creativity. It promotes a culture of knowledge innovation and safeguards intellectual property.
He elaborated that the program transcended theoretical learning by equipping Bahrain's youth with practical tools to transform their ideas into intellectual assets and initiatives into protected rights, rooted in innovation and entrepreneurship.
During the ceremony, the most notable outcomes of the project were shared, including a series of training workshops and creative sessions. Additionally, the winners of the Intellectual Property Ambassadors Programme were announced, and certificates of appreciation were distributed to all participants in recognition of their contributions and efforts in the field.
