Manama: The Joint Economic Committee of the Ministry of Industry and Commerce and the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) convened for its 48th meeting. The session was co-chaired by Abdulla bin Adel Fakhro, Minister of Industry and Commerce, and Sameer bin Abdullah Nass, Chairman of the BCCI.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Minister Fakhro emphasized the necessity of strengthening cooperation and integration between the public and private sectors to build a diversified, competitive, and sustainable national economy. He highlighted the private sector's crucial role in forming economic policies, improving the business environment, and attracting investment.
The Minister reiterated the Ministry's commitment to streamlining procedures and adopting innovative solutions to enable the private sector to contribute significantly to national development. He praised the Chamber's efforts in economic growth, stressing the importance of initiatives and strategies that support a modern and sustainable economic model.
Nass pointed out that enhancing institutional coordination between the Ministry and the BCCI is essential for improving Bahrain's commercial and investment environment. He emphasized the need for collaboration among stakeholders to ensure accurate data, which aids informed decision-making and enhances services for investors and entrepreneurs.
Nass also mentioned that the BCCI is reinforcing its strategic partnership with government entities through initiatives that simplify processes and promote transparency. This reflects Bahrain's vision for a forward-looking digital economy that is adaptive and sustainable.
The meeting included a review of agenda items and a follow-up on the implementation of decisions from the previous session.
