Manama: Abdulla bin Adel Fakhro, Minister of Industry and Commerce, received Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, Director-General of the World Trade Organization (WTO), on the sidelines of Bab Al Bahrain Forum 2025. The meeting highlighted the importance of the WTO's role in implementing programs that bolster trade and contribute to the stability and sustainability of the global economy.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the discussion between the minister and Dr. Okonjo-Iweala focused on strengthening cooperation and reviewing the Kingdom's significant efforts in developing its business environment and enhancing economic competitiveness. The dialogue also explored the WTO's role in aiding emerging economies to integrate effectively into the global trading system.
